CityNews has learned that Premier David Eby will be shuffling his cabinet Thursday.
The office of the premier is set to hold a media event in Victoria at 9:30 a.m., where he is expected to announce new positions and responsibilities for New Democrat MLAs, a source shared Wednesday night.
Eby’s current cabinet was sworn in on Nov. 18 after a close re-election for the BC NDP in October.

Since that time, the provincial government has faced the pressures of U.S. President Donald Trump’s trade war with Canada.
The overhanging threat of U.S. tariffs and the impact on B.C.’s economy became a major focus of B.C.’s annual budget announced in March and many policy decisions to follow.
The province declined to provide any details of the shuffle in advance.
