Chelsey Gauthier was reported missing on July 27, 2017. When police found her body in the area of Sylvester Road and Dale Road on Aug. 16 the same year, the Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT) took over the investigation.
In 2022, the BC Prosecution Service charged Gary Losch with second-degree murder and indignity to human remains in relation to the killing.
