A Chilliwack woman was arrested in Alberta Tuesday on a Canada-wide warrant for sexual offences, including possession of child sex abuse material.
The Abbotsford Police Department (AbbyPD) says the 35-year-old was initially wanted for multiple driving prohibitions in Chilliwack, with a warrant dating back to June 2024.
The warrant was later expanded to include the sexual offence charges.
In a Facebook post, AbbyPD thanked the public for their assistance in her arrest.
It also credited the Parkland RCMP Detachment in Alberta in “bringing this individual into custody.”
Police say she remains in custody.
