Police are investigating after a driver struck and injured a pedestrian on a South Langley road Wednesday night.
Details are limited, but the Langley RCMP says officers were called to the intersection of 208 Street and 44 Avenue around 8 p.m. where they found the victim.
“The individual was transported to a local area hospital with serious injuries,” police explained.
Sgt. Zynal Sharoom tells 1130 NewsRadio that the driver stayed on scene and is cooperating with the investigation, and police believe impairment was not a factor in the crash.
He says the road has reopened, but the investigation continues.
Witnesses or those with dashcam footage are asked to contact the Langley RCMP at 604 -532-3200 and quote file number 2025-23776.
