After a few days of milder weather, heat and thunderstorms will return to southern Quebec on Thursday and Friday.

Environment Canada has issued a heat warning for Greater Montreal, Montérégie and Lanaudière, warning that hot and humid weather is on the horizon.

According to the weather agency, the combination of maximum temperatures above 30 degrees Celsius and high humidity will bring humidex values to nearly 40 during the day on Thursday.
