Police in Surrey responded to a report of a shooting Saturday evening, but it appears to have been a prank call.
Shortly before 11:30 p.m., police were called to a home in the area of 100th Street and Barnston Drive East after reports of a man with a firearm shooting people.
Several police vehicles responded.
Officers checked the area and didn’t find anything unusual.
“At this time, it appears that an unknown suspect made a false report to police as a prank,” the Surrey Police Service said.
Police say they will continue to investigate the event.
