More sun and high heat in store for Montrealers on Tuesday, with a high of 31 degrees Celsius and a UV index of nine or very high.

Clear skies in the evening, down to a low of 20 C.

Wednesday’s forecast calls for mainly cloudy and a 60 per cent chance of showers in the afternoon and a high of 26 C, with a low of 16 C.

Thursday will be more comfortable with sunny skies and a high of 22 C, clearing in the evening with a low of 14 C.

Friday, sunny again with a high of 23 C and clear skies for the evening and a low of 15 C.

The long-term weekend forecast calling for more sun and high temperatures hovering between 27 C and 30 C.

Environment Canada cautions to stay out of the sun, drink plenty of water and check on seniors and those living alone.
