Abbotsford police are investigating after a head-on crash near the U.S. border Wednesday morning sent one person to hospital with serious injuries.
BC Emergency Health Services (BCEHS) says paramedics were called to Zero Avenue near Ross Road just before 7 a.m. after two drivers collided.
“Paramedics provided emergency medical treatment to one patient who was transported by ground and then by air ambulance to hospital in serious but stable condition,” said a BCEHS spokesperson.
The driver of the other vehicle suffered non-life threatening injuries and did not require transport to hospital.
The Integrated Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Service was called to the scene and police say drivers can expect the road to remain closed while investigators work.
