“Surrey Police Urge Public to Share Crucial Video Evidence from Tragic Canada Day Crash”

One month after a deadly crash in Surrey, police are once again appealing for witnesses.

The Surrey Police Service (SPS) says officers were called to the area of 120 Street and 97 Avenue around 4 p.m. on July 1 for reports of a multi-vehicle crash.

Both the Surrey Fire Service and BC Emergency Health Services attended the scene.

Three people were taken to the hospital; one was transported with life-threatening injuries.

Less than a week later, one of the drivers, the person with life-threatening injuries, died.

In an update Friday, the SPS says investigators have “become aware of posts on social media showing videos of the collision from potential witnesses.”
