A house fire has broken out in West Vancouver’s British Properties Friday.
1130 NewsRadio callers first reported smoke coming from the residence along Westhill Place before 11 a.m.
According to the West Vancouver Fire Department, the sole occupant of the home was already outside when fire crews arrived.

Five fire units are at the scene, with a total of 28 firefighters working to knock down the blaze. Crews from the District of North Vancouver’s fire department are also helping.
As of 4 p.m., the fire was still not out. West Vancouver Fire Rescue reported it is still an “active incident.”
While not extinguished, it is considered under control. It will be monitored throughout the night.
