Mounties in Langley are urging drivers to be vigilant on the road after a fatal crash Monday morning — the third such incident in a little more than a week.
The Langley RCMP says it responded to reports of a crash on 56 Avenue near 256 Street around 8:30 a.m. on Aug. 11.
The rural intersection was closed throughout the day as investigators worked to determine the cause of a crash between the drivers of an SUV and a flat deck truck.

“Sadly, the driver of the SUV sustained catastrophic injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene,” said Sgt. Zynal Sharoom.
He says several witnesses and the driver of the other vehicle remained at the crash site and are cooperating with police, but the investigation is ongoing.
Mounties say Monday’s crash marks the third deadly motor vehicle incident in eight days.
Any witnesses who have not yet spoken to police are asked to contact the Langley RCMP at 604 -532-3200 and quote file number 2025-26201.
