Nationwide Manhunt Underway: Surrey Police on Alert for Fugitive with Canada-Wide Warrants

The Surrey Police Service (SPS) is asking the public for help finding a man wanted on multiple Canada-wide warrants.

Adam Thorndyke has been on the run for more than two years. He is facing dozens of charges, mostly related to fraud and possession of stolen property. His warrants relate to driving while prohibited, possession of forged documents with intent, possession of stolen property, and breach of a release order, among others.

The SPS says it is looking for him in connection with an investigation that began more than two years ago.

“In March of 2023, Surrey RCMP’s South Community Response Unit initiated an investigation after locating multiple forged documents during a vehicle stop,” police said.

“A subsequent search warrant was executed at a Surrey residence in which numerous items of evidentiary value were located.”

In June 2023, the BC Prosecution Service approved more than 200 fraud-related charges against Thorndyke and two other people, who have both been located.

Anyone with any information about Thorndyke’s whereabouts is asked to call the SPS non-emergency line at 604-599-0502 and quote file number 23-48774 (SU) or contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 or at www.solvecrime.ca.
