The province’s Ministry of Energy and Climate Solutions has announced an additional investment of another $35 million in the CleanBC Industry Fund.
B.C. government says the fund will focus on creating cleaner energy over the next decade while becoming more self-sufficient amid tariffs from the U.S.
The additional $35 million aims to support new industry-led projects this year.
Adrian Dix, B.C.’s Minister of Energy and Climate Solutions, says those projects include electrifying oil and gas operations, capturing carbon at industrial facilities, and improving energy efficiency.
“Through CleanBC, we have laid important groundwork to support cleaner growth across the economy,” the minister said.
“The industry fund is one of the most impactful tools we have to help large industrial operators cut emissions and stay competitive.”
Starting Tuesday, eligible companies across the province can apply until September 21 for the Feasibility Studies funding stream and until September 24 for the Innovation Accelerator funding stream.

Over the last six years, the fund has allocated more than $368 million in 173 projects.
In total, Dix suggests, those projects could reduce more than 14 million tonnes of greenhouse gas emissions over 10 years.
“Markets around the world are demanding cleaner, lower-carbon products. The premier saw that in his recent visit to Malaysia, Korea, and Japan,” Dix explained.
“So the question is not whether we respond, it is how we lead.”
The projects are expected to eliminate over 20 per cent of emissions from all heavy-duty vehicles in B.C.
