A man was shot and injured Tuesday evening in the Ville-Marie borough of Montreal. The 35-year-old man was conscious when emergency services arrived, but his condition remained unknown.
Emergency services were called around 9:35 p.m. to the intersection of Tupper Street and Seymour Avenue. The victim, who suffered gunshot wounds to his upper body, was then transported to a hospital.
Caroline Chèvrefils, spokesperson for the Montreal Police Service (SPVM), explained that they were awaiting an update on his condition and that the circumstances surrounding the incident remained unknown.
“Checks will be conducted on possible surveillance cameras located near the scene,” she added. “There have been no arrests at this time, and the investigation is ongoing.”
