After spending approximately five hours with his ministers on Wednesday, Premier François Legault will spend Thursday with the CAQ caucus members in Quebec City.
The Coalition Avenir Québec (CAQ) elected officials will meet early in the day, while the Premier is scheduled to deliver his opening remarks at 8:35 a.m.
Since his party suffered a resounding defeat in the Arthabaska by-election on Monday, Legault has reiterated that he will demonstrate “humility” and “listen” to his caucus and Quebecers.

Before the Cabinet meeting on Wednesday, Legault announced that he intends to use Thursday to listen to his members, who have themselves listened to citizens all summer.
He said he wants to hear them on “everything, including the negative comments they have surely received” in recent weeks.
“So, I’m going to spend all day (…) listening to their proposals for change. I’m going to take the coming weeks to digest this,” he added.
On Monday, the CAQ lost the riding of Arthabaska, which it had held since 2012, in a by-election won by the Parti Québécois.
The government finished in fourth place with only 7 per cent of the vote. In 2022, the CAQ won this riding with 52 per cent.
The Premier said he took “full responsibility for the defeat.”
