Country music fans will dust off their boots a little early Thursday as “Lasso en Ville” kicks up the dust at Montreal’s Théâtre Beanfield, setting the stage for the main Lasso festival at Parc Jean-Drapeau on Friday and Saturday.
The event features Canadian artist Cameron Whitcomb, who is also scheduled to perform at the festival on Saturday.
Opening Thursday evening is Paige Somerville.
Lasso en Ville serves as a pre-party to the main festival weekend, giving fans a chance to warm up their voices, reconnect with fellow music lovers, and get into the spirit before the outdoor shows begin.
The festival’s message is clear: “a true country festival always starts with a party in the city.”
