Mounties in Richmond say they have arrested the suspect in an alleged stranger assault involving a weapon.
Officers were called to a parkade close to CF Richmond Centre on No. 3 Road around 10:30 p.m. Wednesday.
“Richmond RCMP received the call from an on-duty security guard who heard the commotion and intervened,” police said.
“Richmond RCMP frontline officers quickly arrived on-scene and arrested the suspect without further incident.”
The victim was taken to hospital and is in stable condition.
