“Blaze Engulfs Langley Construction Site: Residents Forced to Flee Overnight Inferno”

An intense fire erupted overnight at a construction site near 201st Street and Fraser Highway in Langley, as confirmed by the RCMP.

The authorities were quick to respond to the fire that started shortly after 4 a.m.

As a precautionary measure, several nearby residential buildings were evacuated, according to Sgt. Zynal Sharoom.

Emilio Finatti Pizzeria’s owners revealed that the fire occurred in the adjacent building, affecting their Langley location.

In a statement on social media, the business expressed gratitude for the prompt assistance from the Langley City Fire Department during this unexpected event.

The pizzeria will remain closed until further notice due to the incident.

Local resident Kellie Kemps, who was not among those evacuated, recounted her experience of noticing the fire around 5 a.m.

“I woke up to a smell of burning plastic, and then my power went out,” Kemps shared with 1130 NewsRadio. “Looking out my window, it was evident that it was a significant fire.”

Sgt. Sharoom confirmed that there have been no reported injuries from the fire.

Road closures are in place in the vicinity, and the public is urged to steer clear of the area until the situation is resolved.

Efforts to obtain additional details from the Langley Fire Department are ongoing.
