Laval authorities are probing a mysterious discovery at Cité-de-la-Santé Hospital, where a body was found atop the building on a Tuesday morning.
A report to emergency services was made at 9:35 a.m. when hospital staff came upon the deceased individual on the hospital’s roof, as confirmed by Laval police.
The individual was declared deceased at the scene by authorities.
The investigation into the incident is being led by Laval police’s crimes against persons’ squad, working in conjunction with the Coroner’s Office.
According to law enforcement, the focus of the investigation is to uncover the circumstances and reasons behind the individual’s demise.
While the local health authority, Centre intégré de santé et de services sociaux de Laval, declined to provide additional details due to the ongoing police inquiry, they assured that patients and visitors at the hospital were not impacted.
