A man from Toronto, aged 31, has been taken into custody and accused of sending threatening emails containing hate-filled, racist, and xenophobic language, as reported by the Toronto police.
According to authorities, the individual allegedly sent a series of emails on August 13 to various recipients, which included explicit threats of violence. One of the emails was said to contain particularly disturbing and hateful content.
Following a thorough investigation, law enforcement officials conducted a search at the suspect’s home on August 16. Subsequently, Mohammad Ali was apprehended two days later and is now facing multiple charges, such as four counts of making threats, two counts of violating conditions of release, and one count of defying a court order.
Toronto police have labeled this incident as a potential hate-motivated crime. The accused was set to make a court appearance on Wednesday morning.
