Montreal police (SPVM) are investigating after several shots were fired in Anjou on Wednesday evening.
Around 9 p.m., the SPVM received numerous 911 calls about sounds resembling gunfire on des Ormeaux Street, near Chaumont Avenue.
“When the police patrollers arrived, they located some shell cases on the ground,” said Julien Lévesque, a media relations officer with the SPVM. “No person reported injured, no bullet impact was found.”
A crime scene was established, and investigators will attempt to gather witness statements and check surveillance cameras to establish the circumstances of the incident.
No arrests have been made so far.
