A 47-year-old man is in hospital after an altercation with another individual escalated early Wednesday morning in Montreal’s Ville-Marie borough.
Around 2 a.m., Montreal police (SPVM) received several 911 calls about a verbal dispute between two individuals at the intersection of Wolfe and Sainte-Catherine streets.
When officers arrived to the scene, the victim was located with lower-body injuries caused by a sharp object. He was then transported to hospital and his life is not in danger.
“We don’t know exactly what was the cause of the conflict,” Manuel Couture, a SPVM Media relations officer told CityNews. “There’s no arrests and the victim does not collaborate with police.”
An investigation is ongoing.
