An early morning collision has led to the closure of a section of Dewdney Trunk Road in Maple Ridge, with traffic being redirected between 230 and 232 streets. The closure is expected to last for a significant duration, as per the Ridge Meadows RCMP.
Authorities were alerted to the incident around 4 a.m., prompting BC Emergency Health Services to respond to the scene. Motorists are advised to factor in extra time for their commute and seek alternate routes, as the road closure may cause delays.
In addition to the collision, a power outage has been reported in the vicinity by BC Hydro, following the crash. While it remains uncertain if the outage is linked to the collision, power restoration is anticipated by 6 p.m.
