Maple Ridge Authorities Investigate Fatal Train-Vehicle Collision
Authorities in Maple Ridge are currently probing a tragic incident involving a collision between a vehicle and a train on Wednesday morning. The Ridge Meadows RCMP reported the collision, which occurred on Lougheed Highway near River Road around 9:30 a.m.
Emergency responders swiftly arrived at the scene, with BC Emergency Health Services dispatching an ambulance. Fortunately, no individuals required hospitalization following the event.
To aid in the investigation, the Integrated Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Team has been enlisted for their expertise.
This marks the second day in a row that Maple Ridge has witnessed a vehicle-train collision. In the previous day’s occurrence, a truck driver was airlifted to the hospital in critical condition.
