The Longueuil Transportation Network (RTL) faces service disruptions on Sept. 9-11 as drivers go on strike.
The Canadian Union of Public Employees, representing 714 bus drivers, issued a strike notice for these dates, citing stalled negotiations over compensation.
The RTL bus drivers are in talks for a new collective agreement since the previous one expired on Dec. 31.
Despite numerous meetings, an agreement has not been reached. Marc Gingras, president of the union’s Section 3333, emphasized the importance of fair compensation for members.
