After months of disruptions, the 504/304 King Streetcar is gearing up to return to its regular service schedule starting this Sunday.
Back in June, the streetcar service came to a halt as repair crews worked tirelessly to fix watermain issues and conduct track maintenance near the bustling intersection of King and Church streets.
The much-needed repairs were successfully wrapped up on August 18, and temporary replacement buses were brought in to keep commuters moving during the construction period.
Exciting news for streetcar riders: with the completion of the intersection work, the iconic red streetcars will be back on track this Sunday. The TTC teams are currently conducting final tests on the freshly laid tracks to ensure a smooth and safe ride for all passengers.
