Pedestrian Hospitalized Following Van Collision in North Vancouver

North Vancouver police are looking into a recent vehicle accident where a pedestrian was hit. The incident took place on Lynn Valley Road near Williams Avenue close to the Highway 1 on-ramp. Emergency responders from BC Emergency Health Services arrived at the location before 4 p.m. on Friday and transported one individual to the hospital.

According to BCEHS Spokesperson Bowen Osoko, paramedics administered immediate medical care to the person, who was then taken to the hospital in a stable condition. The pedestrian involved is identified as a 16-year-old girl not from North Vancouver. The collision reportedly involved a southbound white Ford Transit van.

The driver of the van remained at the scene and is cooperating with the ongoing investigation by law enforcement. Authorities have stated that they are currently examining the circumstances of the incident and do not suspect impairment to be a contributing factor.

In a statement, Cpl. Mansoor Sahak, Media Relations Officer at the North Vancouver RCMP, mentioned the collaboration with other agencies, including the Integrated Collision Analyst Reconstruction Service (ICARS), to determine the details of the collision.
