Armed Assault in Plateau Mont-Royal Leaves Two Hospitalized

Two individuals are currently hospitalized after a violent incident that took place on Sunday morning.

Authorities from the SPVM were alerted to a disturbance near the junction of Prince-Arthur East Street and Saint Laurent Boulevard in the Plateau Mont-Royal district at approximately 8:15 a.m.

Upon arrival, the officers encountered a chaotic scene where multiple individuals scattered, and a 27-year-old man was discovered with severe injuries.

The injured man was swiftly transported to the hospital due to the extent of his upper body wounds.

According to eyewitness accounts, the man had been engaged in a physical altercation with several individuals, resulting in multiple blows being inflicted upon him.

Furthermore, a second man, aged 30, was found injured behind a store on Saint-Laurent Boulevard. He was located in an unconscious state, with serious upper body injuries. Emergency services rushed him to the hospital, where his condition is currently deemed critical.

At this moment, law enforcement has not confirmed whether the two men are linked to the same violent episode.

A perimeter was established around the vicinity to facilitate a thorough investigation into the incident.

As of now, the SPVM has not made any arrests in connection with the case.
