Authorities Hunt for Suspect in Alleged Hate Crime in North York

Toronto authorities seek suspect in hate-motivated incident at North York establishment last month. The incident unfolded at Yonge Street and Drewry Avenue around 8:30 p.m. on Aug. 14. Allegedly, the suspect, after being asked to leave, hurled anti-Turkish slurs and death threats at a staff member. When confronted by another employee, he made further threats before fleeing the scene. The suspect is described as a male with a black beard, black hair, and a bald spot, last seen in a baggy black shirt with white lettering, dark grey pants, and white shoes. The incident is under investigation as a possible hate-motivated offense.
