A tragic incident unfolded in Quebec City as a 58-year-old man lost his life after a fall from a lifting platform in the industrial area of Duberger. The Quebec City Police Service (SPVQ) confirmed the heartbreaking news on Monday, labeling the incident as accidental.
The unfortunate event transpired on a Friday morning when emergency responders were alerted about an unconscious man near a commercial building on Léon-Harmel Street around 8:35 a.m. The man was swiftly transported to a hospital in critical condition but, tragically, did not survive his injuries.
Authorities, including investigators and the Forensic Identification Unit, swiftly arrived at the scene to piece together the details surrounding the incident. Additionally, as the incident took place in a workplace setting, Quebec’s workplace health and safety board was promptly informed.
