An unfortunate incident occurred on Tuesday evening in Rosemère, just north of Montreal, resulting in the tragic death of a man in his 40s who was riding his motorcycle.
Emergency services responded to a call about a motorcycle accident on Highway 640, eastbound, around 9:45 p.m.
Initial reports from the Sûreté du Québec (SQ) indicate that the motorcyclist lost control of his vehicle while traveling in the right lane.
Regrettably, the rider was thrown into the left lane and subsequently struck by a box truck. Tragically, the man did not survive the collision and was pronounced dead at the scene by the SQ.
The authorities are currently conducting an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the accident.
Following the necessary procedures, Highway 640 has been reopened to traffic.
