Authorities have reported that a total of 17 individuals, including Romana Didulo, who calls herself the “Queen of Canada,” were apprehended in southwestern Saskatchewan.
Didulo’s supporters, known for endorsing various conspiracy theories, established a “Kingdom of Canada” enclave within an old school located in Richmound, just west of Regina, in 2023.
Inspector Ashley St. Germaine disclosed that a search warrant was executed at the compound on Wednesday morning, leading to the discovery of four replica handguns.
Law enforcement officials are currently in the process of gathering evidence and conducting interviews, although no formal charges have been pressed at this time.
Earlier this year, the property owner was charged by the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) for assaulting two officers.
The local community has expressed concerns about the disruptive behavior of the group, prompting the closure of the village office to the public without prior appointments due to reported incidents of harassment and intimidation towards the staff.
