Police Arrest 17 People, Including “Queen of Canada” at Saskatchewan Compound
Authorities have detained 17 individuals, including Romana Didulo, who refers to herself as the “Queen of Canada,” in a recent operation in southwestern Saskatchewan.
Didulo’s supporters established a “Kingdom of Canada” enclave within an old school located in Richmound, just west of Regina, in the year 2023.
During a raid carried out on Wednesday morning, law enforcement officials discovered four replica handguns on the property, as confirmed by Insp. Ashley St. Germaine.
While investigations are ongoing with evidence collection and interviews in progress, no formal charges have been filed as of now.
Earlier this year, the property owner faced charges for assaulting two police officers, according to the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP).
Local residents have expressed concerns about the disruptive behavior of the group. In response to alleged harassment and intimidation towards staff, the village office restricted public access in July, requiring appointments for all visits.
