Double Fatality in Manitoba First Nation Rampage: Suspect Among the Dead in Shocking Mass Stabbing Incident

Hollow Water First Nation, located roughly 200 km northeast of Winnipeg, was the site of a significant police presence on Thursday morning.

Authorities from Powerview RCMP and other detachments rushed to the First Nation following reports of a serious incident.

While there are unconfirmed reports of multiple fatalities, police have emphasized that there is currently no threat to public safety.

As a result of the incident, Provincial Road 204 has been shut down in both directions south of Black River First Nation.

In a message to residents, Hollow Water First Nation’s Chief and Council acknowledged the morning’s tragic events, expressing their awareness and collaboration with the RCMP. They extended condolences to the affected families and individuals.

The community can expect support from crisis and response teams dispatched by the SCO and SERDC.
