A serious crash in Chilliwack on Highway 1 near Yale Road resulted in one person being airlifted to the hospital, according to the BC Emergency Health Services (BCEHS).
The incident took place just before 3:10 p.m. on Wednesday, prompting the closure of the eastbound lanes of the highway as authorities investigate the collision.
Paramedics from BCEHS administered urgent medical care to the individual, who was in critical condition at the time of the accident.
Emergency responders, including two ambulances and an air ambulance helicopter, swiftly arrived at the scene to provide assistance and transport the injured person.
