The Abbotsford Police Department is currently looking into a targeted home invasion that occurred late Wednesday evening.
At around 11:30 p.m. on Wednesday, authorities responded to a call regarding an incident at a residence located on Myrtle Avenue near Lefeuvre Road.
Sgt. Paul Walker reported, “Upon their arrival, officers found that individuals wearing masks had forcibly entered a residence that was already familiar to law enforcement. The suspects managed to escape before the police reached the scene.”
Fortunately, the occupants of the home were unharmed during the invasion.
The motive behind the intrusion remains uncertain, as per police statements.
Individuals who observed any suspicious behavior in the vicinity or possess dashcam footage from the timeframe of 10 p.m. on Wednesday to 1 a.m. on Thursday are urged to contact the AbbyPD Major Crime Unit at 604-859-5225.
