A tragic incident occurred in Scarborough on Friday evening when a pedestrian was hit by a vehicle and sadly passed away at the scene, according to Toronto police.
The collision took place at the intersection of Steeles Avenue East and Midland Avenue, involving an adult pedestrian and a vehicle. Fortunately, the driver of the vehicle stayed at the scene to cooperate with authorities.
Due to the ongoing investigation by the police, Steeles Avenue is currently shut down between Old Kennedy Road and Ashcott Street. Additionally, Midland Avenue is closed between Steeles Avenue and Passmore Avenue.
