A young woman, aged 31, is in critical condition following a traffic incident on a Sunday morning in the Plateau-Mont-Royal area of Montreal.
Authorities were alerted to the situation around 9:20 a.m. on Park Ave., just north of the Bernard Street West junction.
According to Montreal Police Service (SPVM) spokesperson Officer Julien Lévesque, emergency personnel arrived promptly at the scene to assist the victim, who had sustained serious upper body injuries.
The injured woman was swiftly attended to by paramedics and rushed to a nearby hospital for urgent treatment.
To facilitate investigations into the incident, a security perimeter has been established, resulting in the closure of Park Avenue in both directions between Bernard Street West and Van Horne Ave.
