Tragic Motorcycle Crash Claims Lives of Two Riders in Montérégie
On a Saturday morning in Saint-Bernard-de-Lacolle, a somber event unfolded as two motorcyclists in their 50s tragically lost their lives in a devastating crash.
The incident took place on Highway 15 North, prompting swift action from emergency responders who rushed to the scene after reports of a motorcycle accident. The pair, identified as a man and a woman, were onboard a Spyder motorcycle when the driver seemingly lost control, veering into a construction zone on the roadside.
During the chaotic skid, both riders were ejected from the vehicle before being swiftly taken to a nearby hospital. Despite the best efforts of medical staff, the two individuals were sadly pronounced dead.
Camille Savoie, the spokesperson for the provincial police (SQ), indicated that factors such as water accumulation on the road may have played a role in the tragic collision.
