Breaking News: Mounties to Reveal Latest in Hunt for Notorious B.C. Escapee

Authorities to Provide Update on Hunt for Notorious Fugitive Accused of Escaping Prison

The Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) is set to deliver a long-awaited update on Monday regarding the ongoing search for Rabih “Robby” Alkhalil, a notorious British Columbia gangster who managed to escape from prison over three years ago.

Alkhalil made a daring escape from the North Fraser Pretrial Centre in Port Coquitlam back in July 2022, with the aid of two individuals disguised as contractors. Since then, law enforcement agencies have been tirelessly pursuing leads to capture him.

For the past couple of years, Alkhalil has been a prominent figure on Canada’s Bolo 25 Most Wanted list, with a substantial reward of up to $250,000 for any information that could lead to his arrest. Presently, a sum of $50,000 is being offered to potential informants who may assist in his apprehension.

Described as an extremely dangerous individual by Bolo program director Max Langlois, Alkhalil has a notorious past, including being convicted of murder on two occasions and having strong links to organized crime. His evasion of justice just before the conclusion of a first-degree murder trial has only added to his criminal notoriety.

Amid speculations of Alkhalil’s arrest in Qatar, reports suggest that the RCMP is actively working to repatriate him to face justice in Canada.

A press conference has been slated for Monday at 1 p.m., where the RCMP will provide the public with the latest developments in the high-profile investigation.
