Over the weekend, a body part was discovered on the shores of the Rivière des Prairies in Montreal North. Montreal Police (SPVM) were alerted to the incident at around 3 p.m. The specific body part has not been disclosed by the authorities.
SPVM spokesperson Annie-Claude Racine stated that emergency services responded to the scene where the human body part was found near the intersection of Albert Brosseau Blvd. and Drapeau Avenue.
A designated area has been cordoned off to facilitate the police investigation into the circumstances surrounding the discovery.
Racine mentioned, “A command post has been established at the location, and in light of the unusual nature of the situation, a specialized team of SPVM investigators has been dispatched.”
