Catastrophic Semi-Truck Crash Shuts Down Highway 30 East Near Saint-Bruno-de-Montarville

Early morning collision involving a semi-truck and a vehicle led to the closure of eastbound Highway 30 in Saint-Bruno-de-Montarville on Montreal’s South Shore.

Reports from the Sûreté du Québec (SQ) indicate that the semi-truck caught fire following the incident around 4:15 a.m., resulting in debris obstructing the traffic lanes.

CityNews was informed by an SQ officer that two individuals sustained minor injuries as a result of the crash.

Quebec provincial police are awaiting updates from Quebec’s Ministry of Transport regarding the reopening of the highway. Earlier estimates suggested it may take anywhere from two to four hours to clear the affected area.
