“Iconic Grouse Grind Trail Shuts Down for 72 Hours!”

The Grouse Grind Trail in North Vancouver will be closed for three days starting Wednesday, as helicopter work is being conducted on the mountain for safety reasons, according to Metro Vancouver Regional District.

A Metro Vancouver spokesperson shared that the closure is necessary for moving materials and equipment in preparation for scheduled trail maintenance later this year. The trail is expected to reopen on Saturday morning at 7:00 a.m. unless stated otherwise by Metro Vancouver.

While the Grouse Grind Trail is closed, hikers can still explore the nearby BCMC Route, which offers a similar, more rugged experience. Hikers are advised to wear sturdy hiking shoes with ankle support, carry sufficient water, and plan their hike carefully for a safe adventure.

Additionally, the Grouse Grind Trail will undergo another closure from October 14 to November 7 for its annual trail maintenance.
