Six children were injured when a car crashed into a child care center in Richmond Hill.
Authorities in York Region reported that the incident occurred at around 3 p.m. on Wednesday in the vicinity of Yonge Street and Nottingham Drive.
The injured children were promptly transported to a nearby hospital, with one child in serious condition.
The driver has been apprehended by the police, although no additional information regarding the circumstances has been disclosed.
Yonge Street has been shut down from Gamble Road to Brookside Road to facilitate the ongoing investigation.
