“Child and Woman Tragically Killed in Brossard: Suspect Arrested After Year-Long Investigation”

The Quebec Provincial Police (SQ) has made a significant breakthrough in a case involving a fatal accident on Highway 30 in Brossard over two years ago.

Tragically, the collision on July 22, 2022, resulted in the loss of two lives—an 11-year-old boy and a 42-year-old woman.

After a prolonged pursuit, 28-year-old Baljeet Singh, the prime suspect, has been apprehended and is now facing charges related to the incident, including dangerous driving causing death and bodily harm.

Singh, who had fled the country following the crash, was captured by U.S. Marshals on Aug. 21, 2022. Following extradition proceedings, he is set to make a virtual appearance at the Longueuil courthouse.
