A Montreal police officer was struck by a vehicle on Highway 15, sustaining serious injuries on Thursday afternoon. Fortunately, his life is not at risk.
Emergency services rushed to the scene near the Salaberry exit around 4:30 p.m. after a collision between a vehicle and a motorcycle officer was reported.
According to Sûreté du Québec (SQ) spokesperson Ève Brochu-Joubert, the driver is said to have hit the officer while changing lanes.
The injured officer was promptly transported to a hospital for treatment, and an investigation is currently ongoing to determine the details of the accident.
