Seven teenagers are in custody and are now facing legal charges following an incident involving the assault of another young person in Sooke, located on Vancouver Island, as confirmed by the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP).
According to the authorities, the family of the purported victim reached out to the police on July 3 to report that the assault occurred on the evening of July 2 in the vicinity of Goodmere Road near Murray Road.
The RCMP disclosed that the alleged assault, which was recorded and shared on social media, resulted in the victim requiring medical attention.
After thorough investigation, evidence pinpointed the involvement of the seven youths in the assault, leading to the issuance of arrest warrants for them.
