A man from Toronto has been arrested and charged with assaulting a parking enforcement officer in downtown Toronto on Thursday afternoon.
The incident took place at Dundas and Bond streets at approximately 3:30 p.m. following reports of an assault.
According to reports, the parking enforcement officer was carrying out his duties in the area and was in the process of issuing a violation notice when the suspect became agitated and allegedly assaulted the officer. The suspect remained at the scene until law enforcement arrived.
Haitao Zhou, aged 46 and a resident of Toronto, is facing charges of assaulting a peace officer and is set to appear in court on October 24.
