In a major development, a 54-year-old man named Michael Nelson from Toronto has been taken into custody and formally accused as part of an extensive investigation into drug trafficking known as “Project Fade.”
According to law enforcement officials, the individual in question is suspected of engaging in the illegal distribution of narcotics from his business establishment within the vicinity of Eglinton Avenue West and Oakwood Avenue.
Following the execution of a search warrant at the site on September 9, a significant quantity of illicit substances, including fentanyl, cocaine, crack cocaine, marijuana, and hash, with an estimated street value exceeding $105,000, was confiscated by the authorities.
Additionally, police recovered various items, such as liquor and other merchandise believed to be stolen, during the operation.
The business proprietor, Michael Nelson, was subsequently apprehended by law enforcement. He has been formally charged with drug trafficking offenses and is set to appear in court on Thursday, October 23, 2025.
