“Major Weekend Shutdown on Highway 25: Preparing for Louis-Hippolyte-La Fontaine Tunnel Revamp!”

Prepare for upcoming road closures this weekend affecting Highway 25 and the Louis-Hippolyte-La Fontaine tunnel.

Transport Quebec has announced scheduled closures to facilitate crucial electrical and communication systems maintenance within the tunnel.

Beginning at 11 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 19, until 8 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 20, Highway 25, including the Louis-Hippolyte-La Fontaine tunnel, heading towards the South Shore will be inaccessible from exit 5 to the entrance from Île Charron.

Simultaneously, the same stretch of Highway 25, inclusive of the Louis-Hippolyte-La Fontaine tunnel, towards Montreal, will be closed from exit 90 to the entrance from Hochelaga Street.

Additionally, there will be a temporary closure of Highway 25 towards the South Shore between Exit 5 and Souligny Avenue from 8 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Sept. 20, with the tunnel remaining operational during this period.

Furthermore, Transport Quebec has announced nightly closures of De Boucherville Street for repair work on the structures along Souligny Avenue. These closures will occur between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. from Monday to Friday, between Tellier and Hochelaga Streets.

In the event of inclement weather or operational challenges, these maintenance activities may be rescheduled.
